Philip WORKMAN could be one of them.. Scheduled to be executed on April 6th in a State -Tennessee- that didn't execute anybody since 1960, Philip Workman is close to death but his case is extremely disturbing. In 1981, Philip Workman has been convicted of the shooting of a police officer in Memphis. At this time he has been defended by a court-appointed attorney who told the jury its only choice was between 1st and 2nd degree murder. His innocence of murder was never considered. |

Nobody seemed worried about it. HIDDEN EVIDENCE The state witness who "saw the whole thing" recanted last september, claiming his testimony against Workman was coerced by Memphis authorities. PERJURED TESTIMONY During the trial the police and the State witness said only two guns were fired at the scene: workman's and Oliver's. But a statement 4 years ago from a friend of the policeman shot at the crime scene places a firing shotgun in the vicinity. During the trial police denied knowing of a shotgun at the scene WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? IF PHILIP WORKMAN IS INNOCENT, THEN WHO KILLED Lt OLIVER? Disturbing questions about the police investigation.
